There are several Jewish-American Confederates who were KIA in the Battle of Spotsylvania C.H. buried in the Spotsylvania Confederate Cemetery. Today I discovered a Jewish-American Confederate who was KIA in Battle of The Wilderness 5 May 1864 defending his adopted home & country.

Born in then- known as Schwersenz, Prussia. Company A, 15th South Carolina Infantry, Kershaw's Brigade, Kershaw's Division, 1st Corps, Army of Northern Virginia, C.S.A.
