We are excited to announce that Ismael Garcia will be serving as Program Director for Misión de Candelilla! Ismael is a first-generation American, a husband, a father, and a follower of Jesus Christ. Born and raised in Fredericksburg, Texas, he has been married to his wife, Sharon, for 14 years and is the proud father of two children, Aiden and Faith.

After serving 14 years in the United States Army, Ismael was combat-wounded during a deployment to Afghanistan in 2011 and was awarded the Purple Heart. Through seasons of recovery, growth, and learning to trust God's plan, the Lord continued to shape his heart for service, discipleship, and ministry.

Ismael is looking forward to partnering with churches, volunteers, and communities in Mexico and the U.S. to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ.

Above all, Ismael believes that every step of his journey from military service to ministry leadership has been guided by God's faithfulness. His prayer is that everything he does points others toward Christ and encourages others to trust in God's timing, purpose, and plan. We look forward to introducing him to all our friends and supporters. We will update you on the event details in the future!

The Mision De Candelilla board of directors announces that Kenny Johnson, Assistant Director, has accepted a teaching position and his last day with The Mision will be Friday June 5th. We are thankful for the 7 years Kenny spent with Mision De Candillila serving and loving the people of the villages we have faithfully been called to serve these 40 years the Mision has existed. We wish him well and pray Gods blessings in his new job.

Mayo 14 (Jueves)- Las Norias *Cambiamos y venimos aqui primero en la semana

Mayo 15 (Viernes)- Boquillas

Mayo 16 (Sábado) - Jaboncillos Grandes
