Can you put this information on the Friends listserv and page inviting everyone to bring the items listed. RISE asks that only these items be donated as they are what is most helpful to their families.

Reminder for 9/6 Book Group

9/6 Book Group

We're exciting to restart Book Group the first Sunday of each month after a summer hiatus.

Our first Sundays of the month book discussion group is starting again, (after MFW).
Copies of the book we will be reading have arrived.
We are excited that the book we are reading this time is “HOPEFINDER” written by Keir Hudson from our own Meeting!

Keir recommend reading the book in 3 sections as this is how the story unfolded for him writing it. So we will be discussing chapters 1-12 on September 6th. The chapters are fairly short but if you don’t get that far along or you feel compelled to read ahead, join us for discussion regardless!

Book discussion is held in a hybrid format both in the Meeting house library and on regular Meeting for Worship zoom link found on our website.

There are around a dozen copies of the book available for Friends at the Meeting House on the table in the library. Suggested donation for book is $18.
Books can also be ordered to purchase at Fredrick’s independent book store, Curious Iguana.

8/16 Potluck and Quarterly Meeting

We will be hosting Warrington Quarterly Meeting this coming Sunday. We will have visitors from the Meetings in our quarter.

Warrington Quarterly Meeting is currently comprised of Carlisle Friends Meeting, Frederick Friends Meeting, Gettysburg Monthly Meeting, Pipe Creek Friends Meeting, Menallen Monthly Meeting, Shepherdstown Friends Meeting, Warrington Friends Meeting, and York Friends Meeting.

We will have our regular Meeting for Worship followed by potluck then Quarterly Meeting.
