Yesterday at Trinity: Jesus Is the Light
Yesterday we kicked off our June sermon series, ACTS- the early church, alongside our Camp Firelight themes for the month.

Together, we reflected on the opening words of John's Gospel and the powerful truth that Jesus is the Light of the World. Long before there was a church, a campfire, or even creation itself, Jesus was present—bringing light into the darkness.

One of the key reminders from this week's message:
"Jesus is the light of the world. And he is the light that is meant to transform our lives, not just in the future, but today."

The light of Christ is not simply a promise for someday. It is a present reality that brings hope, direction, forgiveness, and purpose into our everyday lives.

Join us next Sunday as we continue our journey through Acts and discover how God gathers us together in the light.

Trinity Student ministry (5th - graduates), we hope to see you tonight from 6:00–8:00 PM for Elevate Olympics! Bring a friend and your competitive spirit.

No sports skills required—our events include both brains and brawn, so everyone has a chance to help their team succeed!

Come for the games, stay for the gold medals, laughs, and great community. See you tonight! We will meet one more time in June before taking a break until after the 4th of July holiday and travels!

We missed you at our first Summer Elevate Event for incoming 5th grade through outgoing Senior students! ☀️ But don't worry, you still have lots of chances to join in the fun at Trinity Lutheran Church in Franktown.

Camp Firelight starts in THREE DAYS and there is still time to join the fun or join the team. tlcas.org/news

We’re getting ready for three Wednesdays full of music, games, hands-on activities, friendships, shared meals, and meaningful moments centered on faith and community.

Families can expect:
• Flexible arrival beginning at 3:00pm with open play
• Dinner included each week
• A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for kids and families
• Plenty of room to invite friends and neighbors

We also still need a few more volunteers, especially:
• Student Cabin Leaders
• Adult relational volunteers

And here’s the good news:
You don’t need to be an expert. You just need to show up for kids.

Sometimes ministry looks like leading a group. Sometimes it looks like sitting beside a child at dinner, helping them feel included, learning their name, or cheering them on during a game. Those moments matter deeply.

Whether you are registering a child, volunteering your time, or inviting a friend, we would love for you to be part of Camp Firelight this summer at Trinity.

This Sunday is one of those beautiful, full, all-hands-on-deck kind of days at Trinity.

Worship. Planning. Training. Prayer. Students. Leaders. Volunteers. New beginnings.

As we step into summer ministry and a new fiscal and ministry year, we’re gathering across generations to prepare for a Voter's meeting, Camp Firelight trainings, launch Elevate Summer Youth Nights, worship together, and continue building a church rooted in hope, belonging, and purpose.

There’s something powerful about a church building buzzing with people learning, serving, laughing, planning, and growing in faith together. We can’t wait for what God is going to do this summer.

Trinity Lutheran Church is excited to welcome Hannah B. as our Student Ministry Program lead for the coming year. Students, we've got a new Sunday Morning Bible Study starting this week and a Summer Youth Nights Kick off on Sunday evening at 6pm!

Many of our students and families already know Hannah through her leadership in middle school Bible study, where she has spent the past two years building relationships, walking alongside students in faith, and creating spaces where they are known and encouraged.

Hannah brings a deep love for students, a heart for discipleship, and a strong connection to our church and school community. Alongside her work at Lutheran High School and life with her husband and boys, she understands the importance of helping students grow in faith through authentic relationships and consistent community.

We are grateful for the ways God has already been working through Hannah and excited for this next season of student ministry together. Be sure to say hello and welcome her as she steps into this role!

Ministry doesn’t happen because of a building or a program. It happens because people show up faithfully.

Week after week, people teach, cook, greet, pray, set up chairs, lead discussions, clean up messes, run tech, sing, listen, encourage, and create spaces where others can belong.

From Kids’ Crew to Foundations, Eagle Enrichment to worship, shared meals to behind-the-scenes moments most people never see, this community is built by servants who quietly and consistently reflect the love of Christ.

Thank you for showing up. Your faithfulness matters more than you know.

The Holy Spirit still moves. Still calls. Still gathers. Still sends.

On Pentecost, we remember that God did not build His Church through perfect people with polished words, but through ordinary disciples filled with the Spirit of Christ.

At Trinity, we pray to be a people marked by that same Spirit
people of hope, belonging, and purpose. people who carry the love of Jesus into homes, schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods.

Earlier this month, at our children's message, we prayed over and celebrated our high school graduates, many of whom received their diplomas this week. As a church family, we give thanks for their hard work, growth, and the ways God has guided them to this moment.

At Trinity, we do not simply celebrate achievement. We send disciples.

We prayed for these students as they step into new seasons of life, asking God to strengthen their faith, guide their paths, and remind them that wherever they go, they are deeply loved and supported by their church family.

Middle and High School students (including incoming 5th graders!) are invited to join us for the return of Elevate Summer Youth Nights — a summer full of friends, games, music, laughter, food, and community, with themes and events planned by our students!
