Visitors Welcome:
We are thankful that you chose to worship with us today. We pray that the warm welcome you received from our Church Family will inspire you to Come and See what God is doing in the life and ministry of our wonderful Church Family. However, we function as an autonomous body of believers who seek to cooperate, but not be dominated by conventional
decisions on particular issues. We
desire to be led by the Holy Spirit when it affects the ministries of our Church Family. We affirm both men and women in ministry, because God calls and equips all of us for HIS Divine mission. We desire to be flexible in our programs in order to meet the needs of a multi-faceted and constantly changing
community. It is our desire to reach out to meet the needs of anyone whom the Lord leads our way. Our worship style is one of openness. We follow traditional as well as contemporary worship. We are not entertainers but
proclaimers of the Good News of Jesus Christ in order for all of us to be set free to become all GOD wants us to be in Christ. Schedules:

Ministries:
Deacon Care Teams
This group consists of called servants of Christ and His Church who minister to the needs of our church family through the Deacon Care Teams. Their ministries include but are not limited to cards, phone
calls, home visits, and hospital visits. Our Church affirms both men and women to serve as Deacon Ministers. Sunday School and Children’s Church
We offer Sunday School classes ranging from nursery to adult. Some are age appropriate classes, while others are open to anyone to study God’s Word. Our well equipped nursery is served by church volunteers staffed during time of study and worship. Sunday morning worship services at 11:00 include Children’s Church for our younger people ages 3-8. Visiting children are welcome to attend these services or stay with their parents in the main sanctuary, as preferred. Children’s Council and Youth Ministry
We offer a wide variety of activities and interests for the young people of our church. Some of these include: Bible studies, fellowship, mission opportunities, and field trips. These opportunities are offered throughout the year. Some recent activities have been a trip to the NC Bug Fest, Christmas Lights Tour, Back to School Bash, and a mission trip to the mountains of NC. From the Pastor’s Pen:
The above does not reflect the Heart and Soul of Mt. Olivet’s people. However, it is a reflection of the love we hold for everyone that God sends to be a part of our Fellowship. We can assure you that if you want to serve the Lord with us, you will have many opportunities to be involved with our ministries. The warmth and love of God in Jesus Christ is felt and shared by our loving church family. As pastor, if I can help you in any manner give me a call at
