His Birth In History. The Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son Of God. We must realize that Jesus was born into this world, not from it! He did not emerge out of history, He came into history from the outside. Jesus is not the best human being the human race can boast of, He is a Being for whom the human race can take no credit at all. He is not man becoming God, but God incarnate, God coming into human flesh from the outside of it! His life is the highest and holiest entering through the most humble of doors. Our Lord's birth was an advent, "The appearance of God in human form."

Our Lord's teaching can be summed up like this, the relationship that He demands for us is an impossible one unless He has done a supernatural work in us. Jesus demands that His disciple does not allow even the slightest trace of resentment in his heart when faced with tyranny and injustice. No amount of enthusiasm will ever stand up to the strain that Jesus will put upon His servants. Only one thing will beat the strain, and that is a personal relationship that has been examined, purified, and tested until only one purpose remains. And that is when we truly say, "I am here for God to send me where He will. Everything else may become blurred, but our relationship with Jesus must never be.

The New Testament example of the Christian experience is that of a personal, passionate devotion to the Person of Christ. Every other kind of so-called Christian experience is detached from the Person of Jesus. There is no regeneration, no being born again into the kingdom in which Christ lives and reigns supreme. There is only the idea that He is our pattern. In the New Testament Jesus is the Savior long before He is the pattern. Today He is being portrayed as the figurehead of a religion, a mere example. He is that, but He is also infinitely more, He is salvation itself. He is The Gospel if God!

Message from Bro Ronnie

The joy of the Lord is your strength. Where do the children of God get there joy? If we didn’t know better, we might think some Christians have no burdens at all to bear. But we must lift the veil from our eyes. The fact that the peace, light, and joy of God is in them is proof that a burden is there as well. The burden that God places on us squeezes the grapes in our lives and produces the wine, but most of us see only the wine and not the burden. No power on earth or in hell can conquer the Spirit of God living within the human spirit, it creates an inner invincibility.
If your life is producing only a “whine,” instead of “the wine,” kick it out. It is definitely a shame for a Christian to weak on God’s strength!
