*Don’t forget to wear clothes that can get wet or a swimsuit & bring a towel! If you have water shoes, plan to wear them!

We are ready for Promotion Sunday & Blessing of the Backpacks tomorrow!

A few FAQ:
*My new 1st or 7th grader won’t be in service tomorrow, can they still get their Bible?
Yes! We recognize all of the students whether they are there or not & there Bible will be in the Sanctuary for them to get next week!

*They’re nervous about coming down front. What can they expect?
I’ll make it very clear when they should come down. I’ll call all new 1st & 7th graders to come down and line up across the front on the bottom step. They can bring or wear their backpack when they come. Another will give them their bag with their new Bible in it. Then all the students returning to school will be called to join them.

*We homeschool & don’t carry a backpack. Can we participate?
Absolutely! The backpack is just symbolic of the new school year - our intention is to cover every student with prayer.

*My child got a tag but doesn’t like the color of the ring. Can they trade it?
Of course! After the service, the baskets will be on the front pew. Switch away!

Just a quick reminder that all FBC Kids returning/starting to school soon should bring their backpacks with them to church tomorrow morning, Sunday, August 2nd! In addition to New 1st & 7th Grader Recognition, all students will join them in the front as we pray for a new school year.

Along with our Annual FBC Kids Leader Training, we celebrated Mr. Rob’s 17 years of faithful Wednesday Night ministry service. As he prepares to retire from his weekly role with FBC Kids, we hope you’ll thank him for being a blessing to our children (since August of 2009 when his oldest son Wesley promoted into the Children’s Department) the next time you see him!

5 pm: Kids & Volunteer Meal (Pulled Pork, Coleslaw & Baked Beans)
5:30: Volunteer Training & FBC Kids Classes
