One More Time

It could be tempting to say that tonight is the end. The end of a church. The end of a pastorate. The end of a family, a fellowship, a community. But the truth is this: Current Church has never been an ending place. It’s always been a through place.

This is a place where most of us have been wrecked by the power of the Holy Spirit. We’ve been blown away by His power and goodness. We’ve been changed by his marvelous grace.

Hundreds have come through this church. Sure they may have thought they found their home, and maybe it was. But successful homes have kids that grow up, mature, discover their gifts and then follow their God-given dreams into the future. The stories of what God has brought us through is as numerous as the people that have been to Current. Each story matters. Each story is a testimony of the power of God to take us through.

You see, we are a people that believe that God knows the plans he has for us. His plans are to prosper us, to give us a hope and a future. We also believe that the only way you lose is if you quit, so we proclaim, “Don’t Quit!”

Tonight is not an ending but a graduation and a celebration. Tonight we come together to worship with abandon, to experience the saving, healing and delivering power of the Living God. Tonight we expect to hear from the Most High. Tonight we ask Jesus to do it again…one more time!
