First Tuesday | Prayer Walking for Future Church Plants

This month's First Tuesday looks a little different, and we're excited about it.

Tonight, June 2, we're joining our family of churches south of Indianapolis to prayer walk two communities being considered for future church plants, Columbus and Center Grove. This is exactly what our Multiplication Training emphasis is all about, engaging practically with the multiplication of gospel-centered churches in our area. We're skipping our usual dinner and gathering and instead meeting straight at the locations at 7:00 PM.

Here's where groups will meet:

The Commons — 300 Washington St, Columbus (prayer walking downtown Columbus, a focus area for a church plant launching in 2027)

Center Grove High School — 2717 S Morgantown Rd, Greenwood (prayer walking the
Center Grove area — teens and young adults especially encouraged to join here)

Independence Park — 2100 S Morgantown Rd, Greenwood

Kephart Park — 3936 W Co Rd 144, Bargersville

Show up, walk, and pray. Ask God to prepare the soil. Ask Him to raise up workers. Ask Him to do what only He can do. And ask Him to search your own heart — is He calling you to live a sent reality as part of one of these future plants?

Summer Book Studies

This summer, instead of our normal Discipleship Groups, we’ll be gathering on Wednesday nights for focused Book Studies built around growing as disciples through our 4W Life: Worship, Walk, Work, and Witness.

These studies will meet from June 17–July 29 from 6:30–8:30 PM at the church building. Each Wednesday night, we’ll begin together in the Worship Center with one song of worship before splitting into our individual study groups around the building.

We currently have two confirmed studies:
• Don’t Waste Your Life by John Piper — led by Thomas Moore
A challenging and encouraging study about living for what matters eternally and leveraging our lives for the glory of God and the spread of the gospel.
• Gentle and Lowly by Dane Ortlund — led by Pastor Bryan
A gospel-centered study focused on the heart of Jesus toward sinners and sufferers that helps deepen our love for Christ and everyday worship.

We may also add additional study options as more leaders are confirmed.
Copies of the books will be available for $10 each.

This was an amazing Saturday morning out in our city meeting our neighbors and handing out cups of hot chocolate and coffee along with an Easter invitation to Crossway and a copy of John’s account of the life of Jesus, the One this holiday is all about!
