Sonshine’s free Lunch & Learn webinars give hearing Christians the opportunity to listen and learn directly from Deaf perspectives. This month, Araya sits down with Dr. Francis Casales to talk about his journey as a DeafBlind pastor and how hearing pastors have supported him as allies. Join us to learn how you can become a better ally to Deaf pastors—and the often-overlooked DeafBlind community. Register for free at https://sonshineinterpreting.com/lunchandlearn.

Ministry Highlight: Deaf Missions

Founded in 1970, Deaf Missions is an international Christian media ministry dedicated to clearly communicating the Gospel of Jesus through the heart language, culture, and identity of Deaf people. Today, the organization serves Deaf communities in more than 100 countries and across 60 denominations.
Recognizing that Deaf people are among the least-reached people groups in the world, Deaf Missions focuses on proclaiming the Gospel through visual media, promoting discipleship through the ASL Bible and related resources, and equipping Deaf leaders worldwide for outreach and ministry.

Their current initiatives include translating JESUS: a Deaf Missions film into more than 100 sign languages, updating the ASLV, and producing a new feature film inspired by the story of the prodigal son to spark spiritual conversations and share the hope of Christ with Deaf communities.
