Directions:
• Turn LEFT out of the church parking lot, driving SOUTH on Hwy. 28 toward Franklin (approximately 2 miles).
• Turn LEFT on Sanderstown Road before Iotla Bridge.
• Turn RIGHT on Rain Ridge Road (the first road off Sanderstown after the swimming spot).
• Follow the road to the field adjacent to the river baptism site.

Aftershock Youth

Following Jesus will cost you something.
Not following Him will cost you everything.

The rich young ruler walked away sad because he couldn’t imagine losing what he had. He wanted eternal life, but not surrender.

The disciples discovered something greater:
Jesus Himself is the treasure.

The world tells us success is found in what we accumulate, achieve, or control. But Jesus reminds us that true life is only found when we lay those things down and follow Him.

Today, we remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to others.

Their sacrifice reminds us of the words of Jesus in John 15:13:

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.”

As we gather with family and friends today, may we pause with gratitude, remember those who served sacrificially, and reflect on the greater hope we have in Christ — the One who gave His life so that we could truly live.

This past Sunday, we were encouraged to pause together at 10:02 AM to pray Luke 10:2 over our church and community:

“Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”

May God open our eyes to the people around us who need the hope of Jesus, and may He raise up ordinary people willing to go, love, and share the Gospel boldly.
