Grateful for God’s grace at Cowee

Vidal’s testimony gave us a glimpse of the work God is doing among us. He is restoring lives, strengthening families, and preparing people to serve. May we pour ourselves into reaching people with the gospel, helping them grow as disciples, and developing leaders who will serve Christ wherever He calls them.

As you begin this week remember:

What a joy it was to see our student worship team help lead us during Back to School Sunday!

We are grateful for every student who used their gifts to point us to Jesus and for every leader investing in the next generation.

We want to be a church that recognizes gifts, develops people, gives them opportunities to serve, and prepares them to follow Jesus wherever He leads.

Tomorrow, we will open Acts 11:19-26 and consider how God calls His church to witness faithfully, recognize His grace, and prepare people to carry the gospel forward.

We will also share a special story of God’s grace at work right here at Cowee.

We are excited about several new groups launching this fall! The first of those kicks off this week.

Seven Pillars of Freedom is a safe, confidential, Christ-centered men’s group for those seeking freedom from unwanted patterns, secrecy, and shame.

Through biblical truth and honest community, men can pursue lasting heart change and renewed relationships with God and others.

The group begins Tuesday, September 1, at 6:00 p.m. in Room G116.

What a Sunday at Cowee! 🙌

We had the joy of gathering at the river to celebrate baptism and the new life Jesus gives.

Baptism is a bold declaration that leads to a gospel celebration. We are so thankful for each person who publicly professed their faith in Christ and for the church family who came alongside them to celebrate.

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”
2 Corinthians 5:17

God is at work, and we are grateful

As our students head back to school, let’s cover them in prayer.

Pray for wisdom. Pray for courage. Pray for peace. Pray that they would know the presence of Christ and shine His light wherever He places them.
