Join us in congratulating our Valedictorian, Jaden Reid!

Jaden Anthony Reid is the Valedictorian of Franklin High School. He is graduating with an Advanced Diploma from Franklin High School, and a General Studies Certificate from Paul D. Camp Community College. He has a strong academic background, loves community service, and has been a mentor for his peers and youth around him.

Jaden serves as the Senior Class President and Vice President of National Honors Society. Jaden has been involved within his community and school in a variety of different ways. Jaden has interned with the Delegate of the 84th district, and the Governor of Virginia! He’s the President of Kappa League, volunteered with the Food Bank, been apart of Upward Bound, played Football and Basketball for 4 years, while working at Serve Restaurant and Tap house for 3 years.

Post High School Jaden plans to go to Virginia Tech in the fall. He’s obtained the Clark Scholarship, which equates to a Full Ride. There he intends to Major in Engineering with an interest in Construction Engineering and Management. After college he plans to become a Construction Engineer, and to attend Howard University for a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

We are so incredibly proud of all he's accomplished. His commitment to excellence is an inspiration to our entire youth and church family. We can't wait to see the amazing things God does through him in this next chapter.

Last Sunday was a day of pure blessing! We celebrated and honored all the mothers. Each mother was presented with a special gift.

Pastor Ruth Charlton shared a powerful and encouraging Word from Proverbs 31:28-29, "The Ideal Mother". She shared that Mother's Day is more than a tradition, and that it is a celebration of love, gratitude and appreciation. She reminded us that the ideal mother shields and protects for what's ahead, carries burdens, and loves to see unity in the family. She encouraged each mother to take authority over their children!

Join us each Sunday at 10:00AM!
