At Franklin First, we find purpose by opening ourselves to God’s love and mission. There are so many options in life calling for our attention. We can constantly be asking ourselves, “Should I look into this? Will I fit in? What can I expect if I visit?” All good questions to consider. Franklin First is a modest-sized church that has a family feel. We have a few main goals: 1) to grow in our faith journey, whether we are seasoned believers or just getting started 2) to welcome new friends, and 3) to serve our community by being the hands and feet of Jesus. We believe that the Lord doesn’t care what we wear or what our background is. God is waiting for each of us to respond to his unconditional love. When we say “yes” to God, we begin a process of growth that continues our entire life. In this fellowship of faith, we worship, study, pray and serve together. By sharing this journey, we claim our identity as a child of God and become a supportive family. You are welcome at Franklin First. God is waiting to welcome you, and so are we. 🎣 "Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of people." – Matthew 4:19

Children's Sabbath Sunday was filled with smiles, service, and leadership! From ushering and leading prayers to reading scripture, singing, and participating in the Children's Moment, our children helped lead worship in powerful ways.

Pastor Laura and the kids had a little extra fun during the Children's Moment as they put the lesson into action by actually trying to "catch" some fish with a net! Their efforts brought smiles to the congregation and helped everyone remember what it means to be "fishers of friends" and invite others into God's love.

As we learned about becoming fishers of friends, we celebrated the many ways God is already working through the next generation of disciples. We are so grateful for the gifts, energy, and faith our children shared with us this week.

Way to go, kids! We loved seeing your faith in action. 💙🎣

What if church isn't about what WE want?

It's easy to think church should sing the songs we like, worship the way we like, and meet our needs. But Pastor Laura offered a different reminder Sunday: the church exists to share God's love in ways that draw others in.

In a fractured world, people are watching. May what they see in us make them say,“I want to be a part of that.” ❤️

🎣🐟 What a reel-y great day! 🐟🎣

Our first-ever Franklin First Fishing Club outing was a huge success! There were plenty of smiles, stories, fish caught, and memories made as families and volunteers enjoyed a day of fun on the water together. 🎉

From learning new fishing skills to sharing laughs, the day was filled with excitement and connection. It was wonderful to see friendships grow, confidence build, and a love for the outdoors being shared across generations.

A special thank you to our Fishing Club leaders and volunteers who shared their time, knowledge, and encouragement to make this day possible.

We can't wait for the next outing! Until then, keep practicing those fishing stories... we mean fishing skills! 😉🎣

The Christmas season can bring extra challenges, and Franklin First United Methodist Church is once again preparing to help local families through our Christmas Food & Toy Basket Ministry.

303 S. Main Street, Franklin
Please enter through the Third Street door.

This program is available to residents served by FACS (Franklin Area Community Services). When registering, please bring:

✅ Photo ID
✅ Food pantry card
✅ Proof of residency/current address, such as a utility bill, insurance card, county paperwork, or another document with your name and current address. Proof of residency is required in addition to your food pantry card.

🎁 Basket Pick-Up: Thursday, December 17 | 2–6 PM

👗✨ LAST CHANCE TO SHOP UNTIL PROM SEASON! ✨👔

TOMORROW, Sunday, October 11, is the final Angel Shop shopping day of the Homecoming season! After Sunday, the Angel Shop will take a break and reopen for Prom season after the first of the year.

If you still need an outfit for Homecoming, a dance, or another special occasion, come see us! We have a wonderful selection of dresses, suits, shirts, shoes, ties, jewelry, and accessories, all FREE for students.
