Franklin First United Methodist Church

Franklin First United Methodist Church You are invited to join us as we explore God’s Word and reach out to serve our neighbors. Making Disciples. Building Christian Community. Transforming Lives.

At Franklin First, we find purpose by opening ourselves to God’s love and mission. There are so many options in life calling for our attention. We can constantly be asking ourselves, “Should I look into this? Will I fit in? What can I expect if I visit?” All good questions to consider. Franklin First is a modest-sized church that has a family feel. We have a few main goals: 1) to grow in our faith

journey, whether we are seasoned believers or just getting started 2) to welcome new friends, and 3) to serve our community by being the hands and feet of Jesus. We believe that the Lord doesn’t care what we wear or what our background is. God is waiting for each of us to respond to his unconditional love. When we say “yes” to God, we begin a process of growth that continues our entire life. In this fellowship of faith, we worship, study, pray and serve together. By sharing this journey, we claim our identity as a child of God and become a supportive family. You are welcome at Franklin First. God is waiting to welcome you, and so are we. Join us for worship this weekend! Sunday Worship

🎵 Music Monday 🎵

This week we're reflecting on “The Author” by Brandon Lake featuring Nick Jonas.

So many of us wrestle with the question: "Who am I?" We wonder if we're enough, if we're capable, if we're on the right path. Brandon Lake shares that even those who stand on stage and lead others ask the same questions. Yet this song points us to a greater truth: if God is the Author of our story, can we trust Him with the pages we haven't seen yet?

"Who am I to question the pen in the hands of the Author?"

Even in our doubts, failures, and uncertainties, God is at work writing a story more beautiful than we could imagine. When we surrender control and trust His purpose, we discover that our identity is found not in our own accomplishments, but in the One who created us.

💭 Who is the author of your life? 💭 How often do you find yourself asking, "Who am I?"

Take a moment today to remember: your story is still being written, and the Author is faithful. ❤️

Teachers, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, coaches, aides—so many people help our children every day.

Teaching gratitude helps kids see the good around them.

💡 Try this: Help your child thank a teacher or staff member this week.

🤍 Reflect: Who has positively impacted your child this year?

📣 Angel Shop Reminder 📣 The Angel Shop will be closed this Sunday, September 6, for Labor Day Weekend.

We will reopen on Sunday, September 13, from 12:30-2:00 PM and continue helping local teens find free formal wear for Homecoming, dances, and special occasions. We are also accepting donations of clean, gently used formal wear, including dresses, dress pants, suit coats, shirts, ties, shoes, and accessories.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, volunteered, and helped make this ministry possible. Together, we're helping students look their best without the financial stress.

💕 See you September 13!
