THIS IS UPDATED INFORMATION - PLEASE READ:
On Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, this skatepark will be blessed and dedicated to Elsie Preu, great-grandmother of Robin Stinnett. It was Robin's untimely passing in 2004 that led to the creation of The Walk Skateboard Ministry by Reverend Maria King. Elsie has supported us with her voice, her resources and her prayers ever since. We thought she would not be able to attend, but today she told me she really wants to come and see everyone - especially all of the past and present members of The Walk. The service will begin at 12:30, but I would like for our old and newer members to be there by 12:15 so we can assemble and greet Elsie before the service. She is not well and she is risking a bit to come, and the only thing that would change that is if the weather turns bad, or she physically cannot muster the strength that day. But I'm betting on her and I believe she is going to be there - so I am hoping and praying with all my heart that you will be there too - for her.

We are only two days away from the dedication! Please join us Sunday for this special event!

On Sunday, November 6, 2016, at 12:30, the skatepark will be formally dedicated and blessed. We will be dedicating the park in honor of Elsie Preu, great grandmother of Robin Stinnett, in Robin's memory. After the brief service, a hamburger lunch will be served and we will open the park for skating until 3:30. Elsie will be unable to attend due to her health, but we plan to take lots of pictures to share with her later - SO it would be great - REALLY great - to have a large number of the old and new members on hand to honor her and Robin. PLEASE SHARE THIS AND ALSO CONTACT ANY PAST OR PRESENT MEMBERS YOU KNOW AND ASK THEM TO DO THE SAME. Please help us make this something special for Elsie. If you plan to attend, PLEASE BE THERE NO LATER THAN 12:15 SO WE CAN GATHER UP PRIOR TO THE SERVICE. One more thing, if you think you can come, please let us know. Thanks, and God Bless!!!
