WHO DO YOU SAY THAT I AM

Mark 8:29 (NKJV) He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ."

What a question! “Who do you say that I am?” The way we see and perceive Jesus creates the faith that we will have in Him. You might say, “What do you mean?” Well think of it. Do you see Him as your Healer today? Do you believe Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him”? Do you believe that God anointed Jesus to heal people, and that He can, and wants to, heal you today?

Do you believe that Jesus is your Provider? Do you believe that the second part of John 10:10 is for you? It says, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Do you believe that God wants you to have an abundant life; a life of blessing and His goodness? That is the question for you today. How do you perceive Jesus today? See Him as your Healer, and He will be. See Him as your Provider, and He will be. See Him as your Protector, and He will be. See Him as your Friend, and He will be. Remember, that in Jesus' hometown He could not do many mighty works, according to Matthew 13:58. Why is that? It is because they perceived Him as Mary's son and Joseph's boy. See Him today as King of kings and Lord of lords, as the One who made everything, and can take care of every situation in your life!

Confession: Today, I see Jesus high and lifted up. I see Him as my Healer, Provider, Restorer, and Friend. I see Him as the One Who loves me, and wants to be my Shepherd throughout my life. Jesus is so good to me!

IN THE BEGINNING

Genesis 1:1 (NKJV) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

What an amazing statement! In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. It does not say, “I hope God did.” It sure does not show God trying to prove that He did. It just says that He did it! One thing is sure, and that is, that God is sure of Himself. We need to just believe it His way, and everything will work out.

When you think about what this verse has in it, it is truly amazing. God created everything that we can see (and the things that we cannot see) with His Word. He made the stars, the planets, and the moons that circle the planets. He made every living thing, from humans to animals to angelic beings. He made it all!

God, our heavenly Father, is truly amazing, and one day we will share in this wonder of His. It says in 1 Corinthians 2:9, “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Now that should get your hope and expectation going! God has given us little glimpses of heaven and the new earth. He told us about things like streets of gold, no pain or sickness, and the lion laying with the lamb. One day it will all happen, and we will live before Him and with Him. One day, we will see our Jesus!

I do not know about you, but I want to be able to hear Him say, "Well done you good and faithful one." Yeah, that is going to be heaven right there! So go ahead and look at all that God has created, because He created it for you and for me.

Confession: My Heavenly Father made this entire world for me to live in and enjoy. He gave me dominion to live a life of abundant blessing. Today, I choose that life over the life of sin and death.
