Please pass on to friends and neighbors. “Good Afternoon Community Members,

We are concerned about the well-being of our residents during the current cold temperatures. The Emergency Management Director, Chief Foss, Police Chief Poirier, and Parks and Recreation Director Alpers have been in communication, and our departments are prepared to assist as needed. The Police and Fire Department are fully staffed and ready to respond to all citizen needs.

At this time, we recommend the following:
• If anyone needs emergency assistance, please call 911.
• If you know of someone who is cold, has a non-emergency issue, needs heating oil, or requires transportation to a warm location, please call 211.
• If you are concerned about someone who may need a welfare check, please contact the Police Department at 603-934-2535.

There are currently resources available throughout the state, and residents are encouraged to contact 211 for assistance. If state resources become overwhelmed, the City of Franklin is prepared to activate its Emergency Operations Center to provide necessary support.

As of midnight last night, the Fire Department has responded to two medical calls that were not weather-related.

Please do not hesitate to reach out using the contacts above if assistance is needed.

Thank you for looking out for one another”
