Dear Friends,

Many of you had worked with Mary as the secretary of Life Ministries for a number of years. Two months ago she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Mercifully, Friday, July 29th, she moved on from her earthly trials to be with the Lord. We rejoice in that she didn't suffer for a prolonged period. Over the past two years or so she had spent most of her time in a nursing home. Due to Covid restrictions there weren't many opportunities to spend time with her, but through phone calls we knew that she was looking forward to being with the Lord in His timing.

Mary Lee Kunselman, 64, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Friday, July 29, 2022 after a period of declining health.

Born on June 14, 1958 she was the daughter of Harry and Viola VanCamp Kunselman.

She was a graduate of Cranberry High School and also Clarion University Venango Campus where she graduated with two associates degrees.

Mary was a member of the United Evangelical Church in Venus. She served on the official board, mission secretary, librarian, and AWANA leader for many years. She also worked as secretary for Life Ministries for 33 years. Mary also worked for Christian Life Academy for a number of years. She was also 3rd Vice-President of World Gospel Mission Prayer Band until it dissolved.

Mary enjoyed board games, getting together with friends but most of all she enjoyed her Lord and Savior and serving Him. She had battled with Spastic Paraparesis since she was 21. Mary was also a Pittsburgh Pirate fan.

PRAISE THE LORD! THIS NEED HAS BEEN MET! Hoping for complete resolution within the month! Thank you for your prayers and financial support!

Dear Friends,

A further update in regards to the water situation mentioned in our newsletter. We have been researching and communicating with the DEP officials, as well as well driller/operators. The following is a brief description of what we have determined we need to do, as well as a cost breakdown. Obviously some costs will vary as we get into the project, but it should give a general idea of what we are facing.

In what we believe is an answer to prayer, we have been granted permission to rework our existing well to prevent ground water infiltration which apparently has been part of our problem. Cost for this will be significantly lower than drilling a new well.

Our intention is to terminate use of the spring due to the higher likelihood of ground water contamination. The proposed solution is as follows.

1) Sanitize and re case the existing well,
2) Build a structure to house a 10,000 gallon tank and treatment system, (this would give some reserve capacity in the event that there would be a temporary interruption in the use of the well, as well as provide gravity pressure eliminating the need of some pumps.)
3) Install new line to service the buildings on the grounds (1,700 feet of new pipe)

Estimated Costs are as follows:

Sanitizing and re casing existing well $5,000
Plugging 2 abandoned water wells $3,000
Building to house tank and treatment $19,000
Excavation $7,000
Piping and valves $2,500
Miscellaneous costs (gravel, electrical, etc.) $3,500
Treatment for iron and low Ph (est.) $5,000
Project Total $45,000

A number of you receiving this letter are people who have used “The Castle” through the years. We ask you to prayerfully consider if the Lord would make a way for you to help with the cost of this project. Even more importantly, if you could pass this need on to your church leadership, mission chairperson, or pastor. Please encourage them to prayerfully consider helping as they are able. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 814 671-0195

In Christ,
