After hearing a message from one of our small group leaders, the night continued with lots of fun—donuts, games, and time spent together. 🍩🎉

We learned that a strong faith doesn’t just happen—it’s built through daily habits.

In Ecclesiastes 4:12, we’re reminded that a cord of three strands is not easily broken. When we weave spiritual disciplines into our lives, our relationship with God becomes stronger.

In Matthew 6, Jesus points to three key practices that help build a strong foundation:

• Give — Not to gain attention, but to honor God and trust Him with what we have.
• Pray — Spend time with God in the secret place. Prayer is about real relationship, not just requests.
• Fast — Step away from things that fill us so we can refocus on what matters most: God.

When these become regular rhythms in our lives, our faith grows stronger and we’re less likely to be swayed by the world.

What we do in private shapes who we become in public. Keep Christ at the center.

Faith doesn’t mean having all the answers.

Jacob didn’t know what Egypt would look like. He only knew God told him to go. Before the journey started, he stopped and worshiped.

That’s the pattern for us too:

Seek God first.
Trust Him next.
Walk forward in obedience.

The darkness may still be there. The unknown may still be ahead. But God’s presence changes everything.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…
And surely I am with you always.”
– Matthew 28:19-20

Imagine your parents walk in and say:

“Pack your stuff. We’re moving. New state. New school. New friends. You leave in a week.”

That’s basically what happened in Genesis 46. God told Jacob to go to Egypt. That meant leaving everything familiar — his home, his comfort, his future plans.

Jacob didn’t see the full picture. But God did.

Faith is like trusting your GPS. Sometimes it tells you to turn a way that doesn’t make sense. But you trust the voice because it can see the whole map.

Before Jacob moved, he stopped and worshiped God. He didn’t treat God like an emergency hotline. He stayed connected.

So here’s the real question:
Is prayer your steering wheel… or just your spare tire?

When you seek God daily, He prepares you for the big moments of faith. And the best promise? Jesus said: “I am with you always.”

Even when life feels like a reroute. Even when you can’t see the destination yet.

Genesis 40 reminds us: hardship doesn’t exempt us.

Not from service.
Not from compassion.
Not from worship.
Not from honesty.

Like Joseph in prison…
Like Corrie ten Boom in the camp…
God uses wounded vessels to pour out hope.

We don’t wait until we’re free, healed, or strong to serve.

We serve while suffering— because worship is our weapon and trials are our training ground.

There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still.

You are not forgotten.
You are being formed.
