Franklin Community Church, Franklin, Michigan

Franklin Community Church, Franklin, Michigan A place to belong and make a difference no matter who you are. We are a church that cares for our neighbors and provides high quality programming for children.

Franklin Community Church is a United Methodist Church located in the heart of historic Franklin Village, just west of Telegraph and south of 14 Mile in Oakland County, Michigan. We reach out to help formerly homeless children in Detroit, tutor kids in Pontiac, and so much more to make a difference in our world. You are welcome to come and help with these initiatives. Pastor Jon Pohl offers a welc

oming and thoughtful approach to the Christian faith, rooted in respect for both wisdom and the role of doubt. His sermons invite everyone to ask questions, explore faith deeply, and find meaning together, viewing questions as essential to spiritual growth. Jon values reflection and shared experiences, leading weekly sermon chats where members can openly discuss life's challenges and find encouragement in a supportive community. Here, faith isn’t a rigid set of rules but a shared journey—a space of genuine connection marked by curiosity, reverence, and a collective pursuit of understanding. In 2015 we celebrated our 175th anniversary. Live streaming on YouTube
