The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.
Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints!
There is no want to those who fear Him.
The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
(Psalm 34:7,9,10)

We can learn about and grow in the fear of the Lord because it is teachable. It is not just a concept, there are real benefits when we actively fear the Lord. We can have the benefits of protection and provision.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
(Psalm 23:1,2)

The Good Shepherd knows what the sheep need. He makes us lie down in the green pastures to rest and to eat. He also leads us to the place where we can drink - in calm waters, knowing that the sheep cannot drink in turbulent waters.
