We are communal people. Churches are planted in communities who need the hope of Jesus. Pray the Lord strengthens our community for his good and glory. Lift up families, parents, schools, and local neighborhoods. We are called to serve and love our neighbors. Pray for their well-being and the mighty work of the gospel in our Jerusalem (Acts 1:8).

Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. (Romans 12:16)

Around the nation and around the world, believers are gathering to extol their Creator-Redeemer. Each church is called by God to make disciples. Pray that each service of worship is Christ-honoring. May the gospel be made clear and received by faith. My the lost be found and the redeemed continue to be transformed by the good news of Jesus.

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." (Hebrews 10:24-25)

Government is an institution given by God in our fallen world. It is called by God to protect the innocent, punish the wicked, and ensure justice throughout the land. Our national leaders carry heavy burdens that require the regular prayers of the saints. Pray the Lord will give them the wisdom of Solomon, the courage of Esther, the convictions of Josiah, the strength of Joshua, and the faith of Moses.

And Jesus said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” 21 They said, “Caesar's.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. (Matthew 22:20-21)

Elected leaders play an important role in our society which requires the attention and prayers of the saints. Local and state leaders make important decisions in service of their communities. Pray the Lord will give them the wisdom of Solomon, the courage of Esther, the convictions of Josiah, the strength of Joshua, and the faith of Moses. Pray for their wisdom, discernment, understanding, and well-being. Pray that the Lord will guide our leaders for the good of our neighbors.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior. (1 Timothy 2:1-3)

Jesus warned his Disciples that, as humans, our spirit is often willing to do what is right good, but our flesh is weak. “Pray,” he commanded, “that you will not enter into temptation” (Matthew 26:41) From the opening pages of Scripture, temptation has been a particular weakness against humanity. We are easily seduced by lies and other temptations. Let us pray to stay on the narrow path and not follow after the evil one.

“And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” (Matthew 6:13)
