🎵As we introduce this new song on Sunday, let this chorus be our prayer every day as we have the greatest beauty we can behold: the heart of Christ. Why? "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness" (Lam 3:22-23). This should give us great joy as we are not measured by performance but rather transformed by the heart of Christ giving us the strength to go about our business each day knowing that our identity is found in Him and not what we or others say about ourselves. Despite our failings, shortcomings, doubts, fears, worries, insecurities, fragility; you are loved by Christ! 🎶

It's just now cooling off from summer, but it's already time to start thinking about Operation Christmas Child (OCC)!
🎁If you're interested in attending our annual service trip to Boone, NC to serve at the regional packing center then email [email protected] or contact Kim Cornett by September 7th. The trip is scheduled for Thurs-Sun either the first or second weekend of December. This year our group is capped at 20 and attendees will be making their own lodging reservations.

Our Forged Students enjoyed a fun evening of Bible Games this past Sunday at their annual Iron Games! Students 6th-12th can join them every Sunday evening from 5-7pm for more fun and Bible learning.

This Sunday we are entering a sermon series titled Gospel Encouragement for the Fragile. This song is such a good reminder that no matter what life brings us, ultimately it is for His glory and our good. Our pain, our afflictions, and our hardships are all purposeful to bring us more towards Him when we see him as we should, as a comforter in our distress. 🎶Give it a listen!
