Thank you Lord for being with our family these 20 years after Katie went to heaven at 19 years of age. Thank you for all the joy and happiness she brought into our lives even for a short time. We could never have imagined the plan you had for us to help us heal through going to grief programs then in turn to help others with Katie’s Comfort Ministry. Thank you for all the wonderful family and friends that were with us every step of the way and continue to be with us. We are forever grateful ❤️ (song we received from Masters Commission I Am Changed that Katie wrote and sang for group a couple weeks before her going to be with the Lord)

On an unusually warm 75 degree day 38 years ago our precious daughter Katie was born. We were so blessed to have her with us for the first 19 years of her life until she went home to heaven. Now that we have been without her for the same number of years, though missing her greatly, we know that Katie is with her true love Jesus. Even though we have not had these past 19 years with her, we realize that Katie had her entire life with us here on earth. Thank you to family and friends who for these past 19 years have given us so much Love and Comfort.

Is Depression or Grief over the loss of a loved one something that you are experiencing in your life?
Our family, in a joint writing venture, share our journey in living through and healing from the loss of our precious daughter/sister, Katie. We recently revised our book, “One Pogo Jump To Heaven.” We are thankful for the people who have read the original version of the book and have shared how it has helped them.
In this story, you will read how depression was a part of Katie’s life and how she, along with each of us, saw the grace of God help her and give us hope. We share both the dark times from Katie’s own writings, as well as how God helped free her from depression.
Our story will take you through our immediate periods of grief from her passing, and how each of us have slowly walked through healing.

We are so grateful as they will be given to many Mother’s who are going through the loss of their child.

Some of you have already graciously donated items for our upcoming event that is now less than a week away!

All of the items donated will be used along with the book the Prosapio family wrote, and a CD of Katie’s songs. Donated items listed on the event page https://www.facebook.com/events/480056727495527/?ref=newsfeed will be added to grief comfort baskets that are at the core of what Katie’s Comfort Ministry offers.

Some of these grief comfort baskets will be shared with mothers we already have been notified of and others will be for mothers we haven't yet met. If you have someone in mind to receive a basket, please reach out and share their story with us at katiescomfort.org or by phone 708.389.1127.

The Easter Bunny stopped into the event space today and he brought the cutest little baskets!
