This verse was originally written in Hebrew.
Let's look at the literal meaning of the words in green...

Hebrew word meanings:
Dwells (yashab) - to remain, to settle, to sit down in peace, inhabit.
Shelter (cether) - a cover, hiding place, protection.
Rest (luwn) - to stay permanently, continue, dwell, endure.
Shadow (tsel) - defense, protection.
Fortress (matsuwd) - defense, strong place.

You and I are included in the word "WHOEVER". So, let's put this into practice today.

It takes two to live in harmony. Yet, scripture tells us that we must make EVERY effort to live in peace with others. If they don't return the effort, we must keep trying and leave it in God's Hands.

In all honesty... this is what we do instead:
We try once or twice, then stop making an effort. We say... "I tried. What more can I do? Then... little by little we stop trying all-together and we become distant, cold and uncaring.

INSTINCT TELLS US / GOD TELLS US
Our instinct will tell us today: Be quick to speak.
God will tell to us today: Be quick to listen.

Our instinct will tell us today: Get angry at work. Get angry at the kids. Get angry at politics. Get angry at the other driver.
God will tell to us today: Be slow to anger.

Who will we listen to?
