Communion is more than a ritual—it is a sacred practice that realigns our hearts, minds, and relationships with Jesus and one another. Each time we gather around the Lord’s Table, we are invited to look in four directions:
Look back and remember Jesus’ sacrifice. The bread represents His body, and the cup reminds us of the new covenant established through His blood.
Look inward and examine our hearts. This is not about making ourselves worthy but approaching the table with humility, repentance, and the right attitude toward others.
Look outward and remember that we are one body. Communion is a shared family meal that calls us to pursue unity and care for one another.
Look forward with hope. As we take the bread and cup, we proclaim Jesus’ death and anticipate the day He will return.
At the Lord’s Table, we remember what Jesus has done, reflect on how we are living, celebrate the family He has created, and look forward to His promised return.
