Religious exploration for youth available starting March 27. Youth group meets weekly, 5th grade-10th grade. Rental space available for small to medium size events.

Black clergy from across denominations returned to Selma this weekend as we are once again called to bear witness to the entrenched racism, fear, and violence in the United States.

Actions by the US Supreme Court and elsewhere in our government have laid bare once again the depths of anti-black sentiment that is so pervasive in this country. It was an honor to join in worship and witness with so many people of faith as we came together to say, "Never again."

If you are free this Saturday and not out and about, you are cordially invited to a fun night of entertainment at the FPF Open Mic.
Thereā€™ll be lots of good music, humor, and fun.
First of all, the choir will be singing a spoof of an anthem called, Gate Gate, set to the tune of Latte Latte. With hilarious lyrics written by Cathy LaChapelle and David Rooney from choir. šŸ˜‰
I will be playing a Ukrainian waltz with Howie Frutkoff and singing a song.
Many other performers will be there as well.

Writer Jason Porter speaks to a deeply humanist understanding of ethics: that our responsibility to one another is rooted not in fear of punishment or hope of reward, but in the reality that this lifeā€”and this worldā€”are what we have.

If justice, compassion, and care are going to exist, we have to create them together here and now.

Itā€™s a grounded reflection on what it means to practice morality not for recognition or salvation, but because other people matter.
