Job 5:8 says, without pulling any punches, 'Man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upward." So, it's not a question if troubles will come, but when and to what extent. When it comes to trouble, I love what James Boice said, “Christians are realists. They are realists about all life’s problems. At the same time, however, we must add that they are realists about the power of God and his promises. And this means that although there is cause to be troubled, nevertheless, there is even greater cause not to be. Regardless of what there may be to cause us to be troubled as Christians, there is more cause not to be troubled.” Jesus said, "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (Jn. 16:33).
