Celebrate Recovery Fouke

What was your pastor’s sermon about this morning? We’re in Nehemiah learning about his role in Israel’s call to repentance.

The first but won’t be the last.

Thanks for making our first ever CR in the Park a massive success! 🧡

We had the loveliest day at CR in the Park. You may have noticed this page be less active in the last few months. That’s been out of obedience to the Lord. We aren’t slaves to algorithms or anybody’s expectations. We are slaves to Christ alone. And he told us to be quiet, still, and wait - very antithetical to the goals of a young, growing ministry.

But sit and wait we did. And oh.. wow.

We have followed his will every step of the way and have seen incredible deliverance in strongholds ranging from chemical dependency to loss of self worth from childhood trauma to s*x addiction. Simply by getting out of his way and letting him bring to us who he needed us to minister in that season we’ve developed the most incredible foundation and leadership team and now…

We. Are. Ready.

Every single one of these flowers was picked for me and Savannah today by different children that attended CR in the Park. I didn’t know it when we started, but nothing gives me more joy than seeing families recovering from the pains of life have so much joy knowing they’re doing everything in their power to break cycles. Some of our favorite people call it “precovery.”

This won’t be our last event. We ran out of food so we know to bring more. We hope you’ll join us on Thursdays at River of Life • Fouke. We’ve been tasked by Jesus Christ to feed you - body, mind, and soul. Dinner is at 6:30 and service is at 7.

With my cup running over,

Kayla Norris

🧡

Sometimes I look at these two pictures and realize how close I came to never becoming the person on the right

The kid on the left had absolutely no idea what was coming

Addiction. Depression. Anxiety. Loss. Some really dark years

Also recovery, healing, purpose, and somehow… a career making dumb videos on the internet

Life can change a lot more than you think

If you’re struggling, or watching someone you love struggle, know that things can get better. I know because I’ve lived both sides of this picture

That’s why I partnered with Oak Forest Recovery

If you or someone you love is struggling with substance use, hit the link in my bio and fill out the form. Either I or someone from the Oak Forest team will reach out.

One conversation can change everything
