Parents, you have given your children EVERYTHING, everything they could ever need for a successful life. But what about their SOULS?

Your child’s soul is eternal. Have you provided what they need for eternal life?

Jesus tells us in Scripture that there are 4 requirements for salvation:

1. Baptism (John 3:5)
2. The Eucharist (John 6:53)
3. Faith (Romans 10:9)
4. Doing the Father’s will (Mt. 7:21023 & Mt. 25:31-46)

No parent would ever give birth to their child and then refuse to feed him or her - but many do the spiritual equivalent by keeping their children from the font of eternal life - Jesus, the only One who can save Who pours Himself out for us in the Sacraments (Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, Confirmation)

How about you? Will you lead your children to the only One who can ever really give them the joy, peace, freedom, happiness, the abundant life they seek?

“Come & see.” - Jesus

All parents, grandparents & godparents are invited to the first presentation in our parish's monthly series of guest presentations for parents on Sunday, September 13th at 9:15am. Dr. Bill Keimig of the Catechetical Institute at Franciscan University will be sharing his personal reflections & experiences raising children to love the faith & fall in love with God. All are encouraged to come and be inspired by Dr. Keimig’s passionate witness & call to deeper conversion, so that we might more effectively & whole heartedly invite our children into deeper relationship with the Lord.

Dr. Keimig has served in many different roles in the Church, from DRE to conference speaker, to volunteer counselor for a crisis pregnancy center. He and his wife, Heather, have 6 children.

The presentation will begin between 9:15am-9:30am. There will be age-appropriate sessions for children age 3 - 8th grade during the parent presentation, and our local Knights of Columbus will be serving an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast for only $8 beginning at 9am. All are invited to attend, but all parents, godparents & grandparents are particularly encouraged.

THIS WEEKEND: COLLECTION FOR HUMANITARIAN RELIEF NEPAL

Our prayers go out to those who perished, their families, and untold numbers of people who are displaced and suffering from severe flooding.

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is reaching out to help the destitute, distributing emergency supplies, clearing rubble, and preparing medical and mental health teams for dispatch. Growing numbers of families need food, safe shelter, hygiene, water and cooking fuel to live.

St. Wendelin will be taking up a collection at all Masses this weekend (September 5th-6th). Donations will be forwarded to Catholic Charities.

Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo is collecting and forwarding donations dollar for dollar to Catholic Relief Services (CRS) for this international humanitarian relief effort. You may donate on our secure website (www.catholiccharitiesnwo.org) noting Humanitarian Relief Nepal as your donation designation. Or make checks out to Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo, designating Humanitarian Relief Nepal. Please mail checks to Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo (One SeaGate, Suite 2300, Toledo, OH 43604). Thank you for generously supporting those in need.

What a beautiful day for the first St. Wendelin Sent Ministry Day! Our evangelists had so many wonderful conversations with people they encountered as they went door-to-door, while the Intercessory & Support Teams prayed & worked faithfully behind the scenes. We are confident that the Lord touched many hearts through the "yes" of each one of these volunteers today!

If you would like to join the Sent Team for our next Ministry Day, please email [email protected] to get in touch with one of our leaders. You can also find more information at https://www.stwendelin.org/st-wendelin-sent-ministry.
