In the Know: September at Encounter Church

September is full of opportunities to belong, grow, and go together! From family fun and friendly competition to special Sundays and opportunities to serve, there’s a lot happening at Encounter Church this month.

Here’s what you need to know:

🎬 Friday, September 4 — Parent Date Night

6:00–8:30 PM | Ages 4–18

Parents, it’s date night!

Drop the kids off and enjoy a few hours together while they enjoy a night of fun at Encounter.

Ages 4–5th grade: Movie Night
Grades 6–12: Nerf Night

It’s a win-win for everyone!

🏈 Sunday, September 6 — Jersey Sunday

Sunday Services

Represent your favorite team! Wear your favorite team jersey or shirt to Sunday service and join us for a fun Jersey Sunday at Encounter.

♟️ Friday, September 25 — Chess Night

6:00–8:00 PM | 6th Grade & Up

Whether you’re a chess pro or have never played a game in your life, you’re welcome! Beginners are encouraged to come.

Bring a chess board if you have one—we’ll have plenty available for those who need one. And don’t forget to bring a snack to share!

Following Services | Worship Center

Bring your appetite and your best chili recipe!

Join us after services in the Worship Center for a fun afternoon of good food, fellowship, and a little friendly competition. We can’t wait to see who takes home the title!

9:00 AM–3:00 PM

We have a few projects around the church that need some helping hands!

This Friday, September 4th, Encounter Church is giving parents the opportunity to enjoy a night out while your kids have a night of their own! ❤️

🖤🥎 Encounter Black vs. Encounter Red! ❤️🥎

What a night! Last night was all about community, fellowship, and a little friendly competition as our teams took the field for our Encounter vs. Encounter softball game!

There were big hits, big plays, plenty of laughs, and maybe just a little trash talk 😂 — but the best part was getting to spend the evening together.

We’re so thankful for everyone who played, cheered from the sidelines, helped make the night happen, and represented Encounter Church on the field!

Church family + softball + fellowship = a pretty great night! 🙌

We can’t wait to see you tomorrow morning for worship and service! 🙌

And tomorrow is NOISY OFFERING SUNDAY!

So dig through those couch cushions, check the cup holder, and gather up all that loose change! 😆 Bring it with you and be ready to give to our kids for BGMC (Boys & Girls Missionary Challenge) as they help take the Gospel around the world. 🌎❤️

Yesterday was such a gift! We had the opportunity to be part of Latino Fest, connect with people in our community, hand out Bibles, and most importantly, pray over our community. 🙏📖

We’re so thankful for every conversation, every smile, every Bible that was placed into someone’s hands, and every opportunity to show the love of Jesus.

Fostoria, we love you! 🫶
We believe God is moving in our community, and we’re honored to be part of what He’s doing.

Last Sunday was such a special one. 🤍

As our kids, school staff, and homeschool families head into a new school year, we took time as a church family to pray over them- for protection, wisdom, courage, good friendships, and most of all, that they would know Jesus and shine His light wherever this year takes them. 🙏

And every Sunday, that same investment continues in our Kids Ministry.

While we’re worshiping in the sanctuary, our kids aren’t just being kept busy. They’re learning God’s Word, worshiping, building friendships, laughing, playing, and discovering what it means to follow Jesus.

We believe church should be a place our kids are EXCITED to come to—and a place where seeds of faith are planted that can last a lifetime.

We’d love for your family to be part of it.
