This weekend, June 3rd and 4th, after all Masses, the Christmas Bazaar Committee is having a Bake Sale to help offset the cost of the two top prizes for our Main Raffle in December.

We would love it if you could bake and donate your specialty baked goods for this Bake Sale.

Items can be dropped off before each Mass. Please package your baked goods ready to sell. Packaging helps.

Thanks so much in advance for your help!

Dear Friends,
We're unable to livestream this morning's 10:00 Mass. Let's pray for each other and that we remain close to Jesus:

My Jesus, I believe that you are truly present in the Blessed Sacrament, body, soul, and divinity. I love you above all things and I desire to receive you into my life. When I cannot receive you sacramentally, come then spiritually into my heart. So that I may embrace you and unite myself completely to you, never to be separated from you. Amen.

How about a walk?

Jesus began to send them out two by two and instructed them to take nothing for the journey… (Mark 6:7-8)

By taking “nothing for the journey” we put our trust completely in God. But, no matter how little we pack, Jesus doesn’t want us to go it alone. Sharing our faith—out trust in God—is done not just for someone, but with someone. If, as Christians, we’re supposed to “preach” friendship with Jesus then people need to see that friendship in action. Who do you walk with?

No offence intended.

Jesus began to teach and many who heard him were astonished… And they took offense at him. (Mark 6:2-3)

While Jesus may have been an inspiration for many, what he said was often too close for comfort for some others. That’s because the truth about who we are supposed to be isn’t always what we—and others—see and hear. Thankfully, God’s mercy not only sees the truth but heals the discomfort when what is false is peeled away.

Please trust.

“Do not be afraid; just have faith.” (Mark 5:36)

The gospel accounts of Jesus healing the sick are certainly amazing. But it’s also “amazing” that he didn’t heal every single person right there and then. Or right here and now. We may not know all the “whys” and “why nots” of sickness and health. But Jesus wants us all to know this: “Don’t be afraid; just have faith… Just please trust me.” At the heart of Jesus’ plea is the promise that God does love us and will be there to save us. And God keeps promises.

We’re not alone in the boat.

“Why are you terrified? Do you not yet have faith?” (Mark 4:40)

As their boat was tossed about by the storm, Jesus’ disciples were scared for their lives and desperate to wake Jesus up. Sometimes our fears want us to think that God is asleep during the storms of life. But what Jesus shows us is that God—you know, God—is right there in the boat with us.

Are you watching the grass grow?

“The kingdom of God is as if a man were to scatter seed on the land and would sleep and rise night and day and through it all the seed would sprout and grow, he knows not how.” (Mark 4:26-27)

God gives us seeds of faith, hope, and love to plant. How they take root, and how and when they sprout might be hidden from us. But unless we scatter them—unless we work to share what others really hope for and need—the Lord won’t have a harvest to gather. The kingdom of God isn’t us watching grass grow.
