Good morning and welcome to Speak Peace Saturday!

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29

Whether it’s your family members or any of the other people in your life, they’re going to make mistakes, say things they shouldn’t, or may do things that are wrong and bring embarrassment. It’s tempting to gossip or talk disparagingly about them. But God wants you to protect their reputation. There may be things said or done behind closed doors, but outside you need to be their biggest cheerleader. Don’t call your friends and tell all the negative things about your brother or coworker. Don’t tell others what you know is going to make someone look bad. While they may not deserve it, you need to honor your family members and others in front of other people. You may have a private disagreement, but don’t let it go public.

It’s always good to ask yourself: Will what I’m about to say benefit others? Is it going to build them up, make them look better? Or is it going to tear them down, give them less credibility, or poison their reputation? Protect those whom God has given you by speaking beneficial words.

Prayer For Today: “Father, thank You that You have given me the gift of speaking words that are wholesome and beneficial. Help me pay attention to what I’m actually saying to others. I commit myself to taming my tongue and using my words to bring encouragement and build others up. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Good morning and welcome to True to His Word Thursday!

Numbers 23:19, NLT - God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?

If you're spending more time talking about your problems than you are about God's promises, that's out of balance. The Scripture says, "God watches over His Word to perform it." It doesn't say God watches over our complaints or our begging, "God, please, this isn't fair. You have to turn this around." Yes, He's concerned and sees the wrongs, but what moves Him to act is when He hears you speak His Word. It's very powerful when you switch over to thanking Him for what He's promised.
Make a list of what God has promised you and put it on your phone, your bathroom mirror, and your computer, and all through the day put Him in remembrance. God has never failed in the past, and He's not going to start with you. It may not happen your way or on your timetable, but God is true to His Word. When you're constantly saying, "God, You promised," that's what allows Him to bring promises to pass.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that You promised You would do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond what I can imagine. Thank You that You have never failed to be true to Your Word and fulfill Your promises. I believe You are watching over Your Word to perform it in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Good morning and welcome to Worthy Wednesday!

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6, NIV

Learning to walk in the destiny God has for you is a process. The first step is to get a vision, a clear picture from God that you can see. The next step is to trust Him—to believe in faith that it will happen. And then finally, you take a step of faith and live out what God has promised no matter what your circumstances or people around you have to say. First you dream it, then you believe it, and then you live it. We see in Scripture that the great men and women of the Bible walked through this same process to receive their dreams from God. They had to overcome doubts, they struggled on their journey, but they held fast to what God said, knowing that He is faithful to complete what He started in us!

Today, if you are having a hard time believing what God has promised will come to pass, understand that you are in a process. Don’t empower doubt with your words. Instead, keep declaring that He who promised is faithful! Keep the vision in front of you, knowing that it is for an appointed time. Dream it and believe it because it won’t be long until you are living the blessed life God has prepared for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father, thank You for choosing and equipping me to fulfill my destiny. I receive Your promises by faith knowing that You who began a good work will be faithful to complete it in my life. Thank You for Your peace and guidance every step of the way in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Good morning and welcome to Thankful Tuesday!

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”
Luke 17:5, NIV

When Jesus told His disciples they were going to have to forgive someone who wronged them seven times a day, meaning to continually forgive, their immediate response was, “Lord, increase our faith!” They knew that based upon the opposition and the offenses that Jesus faced, they would face the same. They didn’t say, “Lord, increase our faith so we can do bigger miracles, and increase our faith so we have a larger vision.” They asked Him to increase their faith so they could forgive the wrongs, let go of the offenses, and keep the toxins out.

Sometimes it takes more faith to keep your heart free from impurities than it does to accomplish a dream. We’re praying for faith for a breakthrough, faith for a new level, and that’s good. But have you ever prayed, as these disciples did, “God, increase my faith so I can let go of the hurts. Increase my faith so I can forgive the person who betrayed me. Increase my faith so I can keep my heart pure and move forward with my life”? That’s a key to living free.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that You have an abundance of power to increase my faith for whatever I need. Thank You for Your love and grace that are mine. Right now I let go of the hurts and offenses and wounds of the past. I declare that they have no power over me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Good morning and welcome to Suddenly Sunday!

Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. “Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists. Acts 12:7, NIV

In the Scripture when God did something significant, many times it happened suddenly, such as when the angel appeared in Peter’s prison cell. There wasn’t any sign of things changing on that dark night, but suddenly everything changed. God can turn things around without any warning. He can increase you when you don’t see any sign of it happening. It was unexpected, out of the ordinary. You were just doing the right thing, not complaining about the difficulty, and then suddenly, your business took off, suddenly your health turned around. It may not be a gradual process. One touch of God’s favor will thrust you to a new level.

When you understand that God has some “suddenlies,” then even when it’s taking a long time, you’ll still have an expectancy knowing that any minute your suddenly could show up. One phone call, one good break, meeting one right person, and you’ll come out of the waiting period into your season of blessing.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for Your unlimited favor and supply of everything I need in this life. Thank You for Your strength in difficult times and the expectancy that at any moment You can turn things around. Whether You do it gradually or suddenly, I will rest in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Good morning and welcome to Supernatural Saturday!

Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.” Job 1:10

It’s interesting that when Satan wanted to test Job’s faith, he acknowledged that God had put a hedge of protection and blessing around Job and his family that he couldn’t pe*****te. Job had no idea of how God had kept him from trouble. You’re not at the mercy of fate and happenstance. God has a hedge around you and your family as well. That’s not to say that nothing harmful or evil will ever happen. God doesn’t stop everything, but know that nothing can touch you without His permission. How many times has God protected you when you didn’t even know about it? He stopped that car from hitting you, stopped the sickness before it got to you, stopped the setback in its tracks. His favor, protection, and mercy are watching over you, keeping you from harm’s way.

We can all find reasons to live afraid, worried, and uptight about what might happen to us. But when you understand who’s watching over you, who’s ordering your steps, who’s fighting your battles, who’s holding back the darkness, you can say with confidence, “I will not fear.”

Prayer For Today: “Father, thank You for Your protection and blessing over my life and my family. Thank You for watching over me and controlling my times of testing. I believe there is a hedge about me and that as I move forward in faith, You will bring me out better off than I was before. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Good morning and welcome to Testimony Thursday!

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11, NIV

The word encourage means “to urge forward.” Every one of us should have someone we believe in, someone we’re urging forward, someone we’re helping to achieve goals and dreams. How do you encourage someone? You study that person and identify what he or she does well. What excites him? What are her strengths? An encourager sees things in others that they often can’t see in themselves. A simple compliment, a single word of encouragement can give a person the confidence he or she needs to take that step of faith.

You have the ability to stir up someone’s dreams by giving them permission to succeed. You can light a fire on the inside that glows joyfully for a lifetime. When you take time to believe in someone, and you speak faith into the heart of another, your words can become the seed God nourishes. You never know the impact a small note or a kind word of encouragement can have. Be a people builder.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for all the people who have encouraged me and believed the best about me. Help me to use my words to encourage and speak life and blessing into the people around me. Help me stir up others’ dreams and give them permission to succeed. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Good Morning & Welcome to Worship Him Wednesday!

Joshua 14:12, NKJV - "Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the LORD spoke in that day..."

When Caleb was eighty-five years old, forty years after the negative report of the other ten spies had kept him and the Israelites out of the Promised Land, he wasn't sitting around feeling sorry for himself. No, he went back to the same mountain where three giants still lived, the place where the others had refused to go in, and he said, "Give me this mountain that God promised me. Give me the dream that's been burning in me for all these years." Have you allowed any dreams to get buried in you?

At one time you thought you could do something great, but you had some bad breaks. You have a good excuse to settle; nobody would blame you if you did. But that dream is still alive. God is saying to you what he said to Caleb, "Go back and try again. This is your time. Your destiny is calling out to you. Stir up your gifts, and go after what I put in your heart."

Prayer for Today:
“Father, thank You that whether Your promise is fulfilled in my life today or years from now, You will bring it to pass in Your perfect time. Thank You that I too can say, "God, give me this mountain." I declare that every giant, every obstacle that stands in the way will be conquered. In Jesus' Name, Amen.”

Good morning and welcome to Testimony Tuesday!

Where there is no vision, the people perish.
Proverbs 29:18, KJV

Do you have a vision for your life, a God-sized dream and promises from God? It’s easy to have complaints about what didn’t work out or who hurt us. That wrong vision is going to limit your life. The Scripture says that if you’re lacking vision, you’ve reached your limits, you’re focused on what you can’t do and on how big the obstacles are. What would happen if you start writing a new vision? Write what God says about you. If you’re dealing with an illness, write the vision: “God says He is restoring health to me. I am healthy and whole. I am strong and energetic.” If you’re believing to pay your house off, write the vision: “God says I will lend and not borrow. What I touch prospers and succeeds. I am debt free. I am blessed so I can be a blessing.” Keep a new vision in front of you. That’s what you’re giving permission to come to pass. Who knows where God will take you if you will dare to write the vision.

A Prayer for Today

“Father, thank You that I can begin to see myself the way You see me: as blessed, prosperous, healthy, strong, talented, and successful. Help me to get the negative images out and the fresh, new vision in. I believe that Your vision for me will become
a reality. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
