Sometimes following Jesus looks less like having all the answers and more like simply taking the next step.
In Luke 24, the disciples were walking along the road, confused, disappointed, and trying to make sense of everything that had happened. Then Jesus came alongside them and walked with them—even when they didn’t recognize Him. Isn’t that so much like life?
There are days when we feel confused. Days when prayers seem unanswered. Days when we wonder where God is leading us or why He allowed something to happen. But Luke 24 reminds us that Jesus can be right beside us even when we don’t recognize His presence.
“And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.” — Luke 24:27
Following Jesus means inviting Him into the ordinary moments—the commute, the difficult conversation, the parenting, the workday, the waiting, the disappointment, and the decisions no one else sees. It means opening His Word when we need direction. Praying when we don’t know what to say. Choosing forgiveness when it’s hard. Showing grace when we’re tired. Loving people when it costs us something. And trusting Him when we can’t see what’s ahead. The beautiful thing is this: we don’t have to walk the road alone.
Jesus still meets us on the road.

He still speaks through His Word.

He still opens our hearts.

And He is still worth following.

“Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” — Luke 24:32

Today is a very special day at Westminster Presbyterian Church as we celebrate two very special members of our church family, Mr. Herman Wardlaw and Mrs. Ann Wardlaw, who are celebrating 65 wonderful years of marriage!
For more than 40 years, the Wardlaws have been a cherished part of the Westminster family. Their lives have been a beautiful testimony of love, commitment, faith, and service. They have shared their time, talents, and hearts with our church family countless times through their faithful volunteering and willingness to serve others.
Herman and Ann, you truly are a bright light at Westminster, and we are so grateful for the love, joy, wisdom, and kindness you bring to our church. We are blessed beyond measure to have you as part of our family.
Please join us in congratulating the Wardlaws on this incredible milestone and in thanking God for the 65 years of love and memories they have shared together. May the Lord continue to bless their marriage, their family, and their lives with many more beautiful years together.
Happy 65th Anniversary, Herman and Ann!
With love and gratitude, your Westminster Presbyterian Church family.

💙 From the Bottom of Our Hearts — THANK YOU! 💙

Our Back 2 School Bash was truly special, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of our volunteers, families, friends, and community!
To each and every volunteer who gave your time, energy, and heart to help make this event a success — THANK YOU! Your hard work, kindness, and willingness to serve made such a difference. We are so grateful for each of you and everything you did to help create a fun and memorable day for our community.
And to everyone who came out and celebrated with us — thank you for showing up and making the day so meaningful! Your smiles, laughter, and participation made this event one we will remember for a long time.
We are incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such a wonderful community, and we’re already looking forward to creating more memories, serving more families, and bringing everyone together at future events! 🙌🏽. Thank you for believing in the vision, supporting the mission, and helping us make a difference — one event and one family at a time.
Until next time… we’ll see you at the next one! 💙🎉📚
With heartfelt gratitude,
Thank you, Westminster Presbyterian
