How amazing is it that God sent his son to be with us. We celebrate this on Christmas Day. Why did God chose a simple quiet entrance into our world instead of a grand entrance with huge celebration and fanfare? God wants us to know that riches or power are not important, only that we believe in Him and love our fellow man.

Had a great breakfast meeting this morning. Thank you God for the great men at Alliance UMC. Pastor Bill joined us today. Fantastic fellowship and discussion. More great cooking from Bill Begole. Listen to God and the directions of the Holy Spirit. Next meeting is August 12th.

If you are a man reading this note, you are invited.

Before coming to tonight's chili cook off, Santa was invited to World Blend this morning where he put smiles on the faces of a lot of children.

What do you think? Personally, I have long viewed worship songs as a potential problem simply based on the fact that music easily produces an emotional response in all of us. Sometimes I wonder if we sing the songs because we truly are worshiping, or if it just makes us feel good. I am just not sure I would take it as far as the writer of this article.

There is a great misunderstanding of the purpose of music in Christian worship. Many Christians tend to grant music a sacramental power which Scripture never bestows upon it.
