You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
    you discern my thoughts from afar.” - Psalm 139:1-2

This Sunday we will be opening Psalm 139 together! We’d love for you to take a few minutes sometime this week to read through the Psalm before we gather.

As we come together Sunday, we’ll spend some time considering what it means to be fully known by God and fully loved by Him.

This Sunday, we explored Psalm 131 where we see David writes of a soul “calmed and quieted like a weaned child with its mother.” Not a child demanding something — just resting in the presence of the one who loves them. That is the picture of a soul at rest in Christ.

There is no shortage of things to be afraid of in this world. But Psalm 91 gives us a powerful promise: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” When you make God your refuge, you experience the protective care of Almighty God.
 
The greatest promise of Psalm 91 isn’t just protection in this life. It’s eternal satisfaction in him. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13). He’s not just a refuge. He’s willing to be your refuge, specifically, personally.

This Sunday, we’ll be opening Psalm 91 together. We encourage you to spend a few moments this week reading through the Psalm and asking the Lord to remind you of His steadfast character as our refuge, our fortress, and our faithful protector.

On Sunday we dove into Psalm 119 and were reminded of what this incredible chapter does for us: It gives wisdom, brings comfort, produces holiness, and ultimately leads us to Jesus. Would we be a people who treasure the word of Christ just as Psalm 119:72 reminds us, the law of God’s mouth is worth more than thousands of pieces of gold and silver.

We will be going back to our regular service times this Sunday!

On Sunday we looked at Psalm 90, where Moses prays that God would teach us to number our days, satisfy us with His steadfast love, and establish the work of our hands.

Would we be a people who live with urgency as we follow Christ and build His kingdom. Let us train others in the way of Jesus. Meet needs around us and carry the message of eternal hope.

On Sunday we were reminded that Psalm 84 reveals our deepest longing for home is ultimately fulfilled in God’s presence.

The psalmist declares, “A day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere.” We do not come into His presence based on our merit, but because Jesus made a way so that we can enter in with confidence. The Lord does not withhold any good thing from those who walk with Him. He is both our sun (providing light and direction) and our shield (protecting us). When we treasure Christ above all else, we discover the home our souls have been longing for.
