Food for Your Soul

“You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.” Psalm 119:114
If we put our hope in politics or presidents, we will be disappointed. If we put our hope in money and career, we will be disappointed. If we put our hope in ourselves or the people close to us, we will be disappointed.
If we put our hope in the promises of Scripture, we will never be disappointed—because God is faithful to deliver on His promises.
Focus your thoughts today on the truths of God’s Word!
Reflect on where you’ve been placing your hope recently. Are you relying on temporary things like politics, money, or others? Shift your focus today to the unchanging promises of God’s Word. Meditate on a specific verse that reminds you of His faithfulness.

Food for Your Soul

“Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:8-9
Only God can turn a weakness into a strength.
God’s power shines through our weaknesses.
What areas of life are your weakest? Give them to Jesus and ask Him to use them for His glory.
Identify a weakness in your life and surrender it to Jesus. Trust that His grace is sufficient and that His power will work through your weakness for His glory.

We are the Spanish Catholic church that came to the Americas in 1492 with Christopher Columbus. St.James the Apostle was the first bishop of Jerusalem, see Acts 15. He came to Spain in the first century and founded the Catholic church of Spain. We literally went around Vatican II. Our bishops saw the heretical changes coming and planted monasteries with bishop abbotts that train and ordain valid Catholic priests to this day. When we need them, we consecrate new bishops. We have a mandate from Pope Pius XII to consecrate our own bishops.
