Alpha Oil Tools becomes cornerstone of Sharp Energy Group
Fort Worth, TX—1 December 2018 – Sharp Energy Group has completed its acquisition of Alpha Oil Tools, from Weatherford International. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Sharp Energy Group is headquartered in Gray, LA, and represents the reentry of CEO Harvey Sharp into the energy sector after selling Trinity Tool Rentals in 2014.
Alpha Oil Tools has been a mainstay in the downhole tools and accessories sector since its founding in 1981, becoming a part of Weatherford International in 2005 and now returning to private ownership as the cornerstone of Sharp Energy Group.
CEO Harvey Sharp III, expressed his vision for the company saying, “This is an exciting time for Alpha Oil Tools. We are expanding our machine capacity to reduce delivery times and adding engineering staff to develop new technologies to better serve our industry...”
Alpha will continue operations from its current facility in Fort Worth, TX.
