In today's reading, we read the shortest prayer in the entire Bible. (Matthew 14:30)

This was Pete's response when he took his eyes off Jesus and began to sink. He didn't have time for a elaborate prayer. He didn't have time for eloquent speech; it was desperation before God, with these three words;LORD SAVE ME!

You cannot remove any of these words and have this prayer.

LORD: Pete didn't call out to John or Thomas. This prayer shows who his hope was directed to.

SAVE: this is what I need you to do. It wasn't a vague request. Specific prayer looking for a specific outcome.

ME: this is who needs the help. All three words required for this powerful and yet shortest prayer in the entire Bible. If you have time today; pour out your heart in long words and sentences to the Father. But if not, in desperation… Lord saved me!

There are some who do not believe in the devil. They go about life clueless that there is one who “kills,steals and destroys”. And satan has his site on you and you don’t even think he’s there.

It's like hunting. They call it a sport. But the truth is only half the teams realize there's something going on.

Can I give you 4 truths today? 1. Your God is a GOOD God. 2. He has plans for you TODAY! 3. You got an enemy who despises you and wants you to miss what God has in store. 4. The devil only has 3 lures to snag you with today and he will change out lures till he finds the one where you bite. Don’t fall for the lure today. Those lures will snag you and steal you joy.
