“Jeroboam’s Religion” (I Kings 12:26-33)

Vs. 32 tells us Jeroboam ordained a feast LIKE unto the feast that is in Judah.

LIKE does not mean the same!

Many of the characterstics of Jeroboam’s religion are still found today. Deviations from God’s pattern or plan for our worship. While they may be similar or LIKE God’s expectations, they certainly aren’t done the way HE expcts!

“Leadership That Challenges”

Hebrews 13:22, “And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.”

As the body works collaboratively and collectively within the local congregation (accordong to I Corinthians 12), the Hebrew letter is one that challenges us as God’s people.

To challenge ourselves as individual Christians and our work within our homes, as well as how we can each contribute within our congregations in whatever leadership role we hold. And also, to challenge one other in our growth as God’s people!
