THE CAMP MEETING BOYS — NOVEMBER 7TH AT THE FORT WORTH GOSPEL OPRY!

The story behind the Camp Meeting Boys is one of faith, compassion, and a heart for sharing the love of Jesus.

The group began as a ministry project of Dr. Jim Boyd, Senior Minister at Christ Chapel Bible Church here in Fort Worth. Dr. Boyd brought together several men from the church who could provide instrumental music and vocals as he shared the Gospel with people who often couldn’t attend traditional church services — including residents of nursing homes and senior living communities, individuals who were incarcerated, and those in rehabilitation centers and medical facilities.

As word spread about their outreach, the ministry continued to grow.

Following Dr. Boyd’s passing in 2018, the group honored one of his final requests: to carry the ministry forward as a lasting legacy of the love of Christ he so faithfully shared with others.

Through challenges, including COVID and other obstacles, the Camp Meeting Boys have persevered. Today, they continue to minister throughout Tarrant County and the surrounding communities, sharing the hope of Jesus through music and the Gospel.

We are honored to welcome the Camp Meeting Boys to the Fort Worth Gospel Opry!
