We are pleased to share an online collection of the original journal writings from the 112-day pilgrimage through India and Nepal in 2022–2023.

Written throughout the journey, these entries preserve experiences, encounters, reflections, and memorable moments along the way. These original writings later became the foundation for the book The Footsteps of a Buddhist Monk.

The collection is now available to read online through Peace Reader, an eReader created by Andy Koh of PetFinder.

🙏 UPCOMING VISIT TO STOCKHOLM BUDDHIST VIHARA

Most Venerable Ratanaguṇa and Venerable Paññākāra, leader of the Walk for Peace USA 2025–2026, together with a delegation of 30 members from Hương Đạo Vipassanā Bhāvanā Center, will be visiting Stockholm, Sweden, to attend the World Peace Award Conference 2026.

On Saturday, 22 August, Venerable Paññākāra will be presented with the World Peace Award 2026 at the award ceremony at Stockholm Concert Hall.

Please note: The World Peace Award is a separate award and is not affiliated with or the same as the Nobel Peace Prize.

The following morning, Sunday, 23 August 2026, the delegation will visit Stockholm Buddhist Vihara in Järfälla, where Venerable Paññākāra will give a Dhamma Talk.

Thầy Bửu Đức và Sư Tuệ Nhân, người lãnh đạo cuộc hành trình Walk for Peace USA 2025–2026, cùng phái đoàn 30 thành viên từ Hội Thiền Tập Minh Sát chùa Hương Đạo sẽ đến Stockholm, Thụy Điển, để tham dự Hội nghị World Peace Award 2026.

Vào Thứ Bảy, ngày 22 tháng 8, Sư Tuệ Nhân sẽ được trao Giải thưởng World Peace Award 2026 tại lễ trao giải được tổ chức tại Stockholm Concert Hall.

Xin lưu ý: World Peace Award là một giải thưởng riêng biệt, không phải và không liên quan đến Giải Nobel Hòa bình.

We respectfully invite all Buddhist devotees, members of the community, friends, and families to joyfully join us for the Ullambana (Parents’ Day) Festival at Huong Dao Temple on August 30, 2026.

The Ullambana Festival, sharing some of the spirit of Father’s Day and Mother’s Day in the United States, is a meaningful occasion for family members to nurture love, closeness, and connection. It is an opportunity for children to express filial respect and gratitude toward their parents, and also a time for parents to reflect, listen, and appreciate the love and devotion of their children and grandchildren. Together, families can also turn their thoughts toward grandparents, ancestors, and all benefactors who have supported and guided them throughout life.

In modern society, independence and self-reliance are highly valued. According to the Buddha’s teachings, true independence does not mean living apart from others or taking family bonds lightly. Rather, it means learning to cultivate one’s body and mind, living responsibly, and remembering to repay the kindness we have received. When each family member practices the Dhamma with compassion, gratitude, and understanding, the family becomes more loving, respectful, and closely connected. On the other hand, when understanding and gratitude are lacking, the distance between generations can grow, making family happiness and harmony more difficult to sustain.

The Parents' Day Festival is a time for each of us to quiet the mind and reflect on the immeasurable kindness of those who gave us life and raised us, to cultivate filial devotion, and to express gratitude through wholesome actions in the present. It is a day dedicated to family, love, and gratitude.

We respectfully invite you and your family to join us, so that together we may cultivate blessings, strengthen family bonds, and experience the peace and joy of the Dhamma.
