hools System and graduated in 1992. He furthered his education at Mississippi First Black, State Supported College, the Historical Alcorn State University. He completed a Bachelors of Science in Biology-Pre-Medicine and Received a Master’s of Secondary Education with an Endorsement in Biology. accepted Christ on a Wednesday during a Revival Meeting at the Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church in August of 1978 at the age of 5 under the leadership of his Spiritual Father, Rev-Doctor M. Like young Timothy, he developed a great love for Christ by examples set by His Mother (Emma Jenkins) and his Grandmother (Carrie Vanderson-Jenkins). He would follow his grandmother as she would travel from Revival to Revival and Church service to Church Service. Sensed his call early on in life; he found joy in reading, while others was out playing, he would sneak away and began to read commentaries and other religious books. At about the age of 13, He was called to be a deacon in training, under the leadership of his Grandfather (Ornsby Jenkins, Sr) and his Great Uncle (Frank Jenkins, Jr), he also taught the older teens Sunday School Class during this time. Following in the foot step of his Grandfather and Uncle, he began to take an interest in the Sunday School Convention and the Morgan Fork Missionary Baptist Association of Mississippi, which he would later serve as Vice President of the Sunday School Convention and held positions in the County Associations was Treasurer and Secretary. During his years as a student of Alcorn State University; C. Served as President of the Baptist Student Union (BSU). Upon graduating with a BS, C.L. was employed with Alcorn State University where he would serve as the Spiritual and Campus Advisor for the BSU and the Christ of God in Christ (COGIC) Fellowship. In February (1997), three months prior to graduating with his BS., C. was called to Pastor the Mount Plain Baptist Church in Natchez, MS, where he served until 2001. Under his leadership, the Church Grow and Prospered; while Pastoring, C. also served as Assistant Pastor of his home church (Spring Hill M. B.C.), 1st Sunday Chaplin for Alcorn State University and Taught Bible study for the St. Peter’s Rock M.B.C. (in addition to a full time Job with Alcorn State. Feeling the stress of being pulled in many directions, C.L. decided to leave the Pastorate for a Rest! Upon leaving the Pastorate, C. relocated to Fort Worth, TX and became employed with the Dallas Independent School District. He united with the Great Commission Baptist Church (under the Leadership of Dr. Douglas E. Brown) where he briefly served as Teacher for the Singles Ministry. After years of urging by the Spirit, C.L. left GCBC and united with the Fellowship Church (under the Leadership of Pastor Patrick D.
