We’re getting ready for our Summit Retreat, and one of the most meaningful parts of this weekend is something our teens dreamed up.

One of our girls shared that she wished she had a Bible that was truly her own, something special she could decorate and keep. Because of her idea, we want to give every teen this coming weekend their own Bible.

We need 30 Bibles so each camper can decorate, take home, and grow in their own personal Bible.

If you’d like to be part of something really special, you can purchase one directly from our Amazon list below. We would love to have these ordered by Monday!

When I wake up at camp, I don’t feel scared.
At home, mornings can feel heavy. I usually wonder what kind of day it’s going to be or if I’ll get in trouble for something. But at camp, I wake up to birds outside and people laughing. Someone says good morning and looks me in the eye like they really care that I’m here.

After breakfast, my counselor stays with me everywhere we go. They don’t rush me or get annoyed when I ask questions. Sometimes we talk about fun things. Sometimes I don’t feel like talking at all. Either way, they don’t leave.

During the day, I get to try things I’ve never done before. I tie-dye a shirt and everyone tells me it looks awesome. I go swimming and laugh until my stomach hurts. I do something that feels scary and when I finish, people cheer for me. It makes me feel brave.

At night, when things get quiet, my counselor tucks me in and prays for me. They tell me they’re glad I’m here. I believe them.

One day of camp might not seem like much. But for me, it’s a whole day where I feel safe. A whole day where I’m not worried about what will happen next. A whole day where I get to be a kid.

That’s what a day of camp means to me.

As you consider your year-end giving, know this: it costs $100 to give a child one full day of camp, and right now, every gift is being matched, doubling the impact. Your generosity turns fear into safety, uncertainty into joy, and ordinary days into moments of healing.

Consider giving today.
