O God, you have taken to yourself the blessed Virgin Mary, mother of your incarnate Son: Grant that we, who have been redeemed by his blood, may share with her the glory of your eternal kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
Amen.

From the Provincial Council of ACNA

Honoring The Lion of Fort Worth

As we look forward, we also honor our past.

It’s our privilege today to present this year’s Founders' Memorial Award, which recognizes and celebrates the legacy and vision of a founding leader of our Province who has passed on from this life and whose courage, faith, and ministry were instrumental in shaping or establishing a part of the Church's mission that continues to bear fruit today.

This year's recipient is The Right Reverend Jack Iker, Third Bishop of the Diocese of Fort Worth.

The award will be presented by Bishop Ryan Reed to the Iker family in recognition of Bishop Iker's faithful leadership, steadfast witness, and enduring contributions to the life and mission of the ACNA.

Those who served alongside him frequently described his heart as courageous, steadfast, faithful, and deeply committed to biblical Christianity and Anglican orthodoxy.

With great affection, many continue to refer to him as the "Lion of Fort Worth," a tribute to his courage and perseverance during challenging seasons in the life of the Church.

We are privileged to recognize his vast contributions and heart today.
