Helping Hands Family,
Thank you all that came out on Sunday, November 21st, we has a great turn out of volunteers.
We fed over 200 people and another group took another 75 meals to the streets…We had barbers from Riverside Barbershop and a hairstylist from Hot Mess Express providing haircuts. We are now getting ready for our Christmas Holiday Street Party for the Homeless. This event is an act of sharing our blessings with our friends of fort worth experiencing homelessness.
We have DJ Corey Lee come out to play music, we have a photo booth for them to take pictures and are printed for them on-site and we also bring tons of presents to give them each one. We are looking to find horse carriage rides, if anyone has a connection please let me know.
The presents consist of blankets, flashlights, hand warmers, other items we put in there are cologne or perfume, sleeping bags, lip balms, food gift cards, watches, sweats, jackets, new shoes, or a new shirt depending on the donations received. Our goal is to feed them a hot meal, have a great time with them, and bring Christmas cheer to them. This is a huge task for us, so we are asking you just like the jackets to share with your friends, co-workers, and family. I will be bringing 150 red/green fleece blankets to put in the gift bags.
We are asking everyone to share with your social media circles, run a collection drive at your office or even in your neighborhood. I have the link to sign up for food and the flyer for the collection drive.
