Care Portal Coordinator Needed (Volunteer Position)

St. Paul has been partnered with the Care Portal since 2020. Care Portal is a national non-profit that helps connect community members in need, with churches that can help.
Coordinator Role:
- Receives emails about families in need within a 10 mile radius of the church from the Portal
-Decides with team what need to fill (1 need per month)
-Coordinates with team, caseworkers, and family regarding purchase, donation, and delivery of items
-Help recruit additional team members
-2-5 hour time commitment per month

Hope Now is an initiative that empowers local churches to find forever families for waiting children in their local community. We currently have 4 Hope Now kids being advocated for by various churches in the DFW area, and we are excited to introduce another sweet boy on Sunday.

January is Life Month!
St. Paul and the Life Team have been partnering with Hope Local and Fort Worth Pregnancy Center to help support some of the most vulnerable in our community.

We are excited to share a new initiative partnering with Hope Local in the coming weeks!

On March 24th, the St. Paul Lutheran Church Life Team, represented by Steve Dossin, presented a check to the Fort Worth Pregnancy Center, (FWPC) represented by CEO Cindy Leach. The money was a portion of the Mission of the Month offering from January.

St. Paul’s generosity provided sufficient funds to pay for about 28 sonograms, which are an effective tool in helping mothers see that their babies are truly human beings. 95% of those that get a sonogram at FWPC choose life!
