Pastor Jose was raised Catholic by his hard-working parents. While in high school, he received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. They are blessed with 4 beautiful children. Since 2009, he has served faithfully in the church. God's Church:
As a church family, we are called to be a life giving (nurturing) family to our community by developing spiritual gifts through relationships, mentor
ing, and opportunities for action. We are servant leaders motivated by Godly compassion to give of our time and resources. Our core values are to Love, Serve, and Bless. The Call:
Both Pastor Jose & Brenda graduated from Charis Bible College with Degrees in Biblical Studies and Minister's Licenses. They were ordained by Andrew Wommack in June 2019. Grace & Faith Church launched in Rhome, TX in August 2020. After 3 years in Rhome, TX, we re-launched GFC in Downtown Fort Worth, TX. The Lord called us to serve and minister in Downtown Fort Worth in 2016. We haven't finished our assignment and are excited to be back in Downtown Fort Worth. The Miracle:
In November of 2009, Pastor Jose was invited by a Charis Alumni to attend a Gospel Truth Seminar (GTS) in Irving, TX because he had terrible back pain. He struggled with back issues for approximately 10 years. On Saturday morning, November 14, 2009, a medical doctor told Pastor Jose that due to the pain he was experiencing, he needed back surgery immediately. Pastor Jose didn’t want the back surgery and after receiving this information, he attended the last service of the GTS believing for a miracle but unsure of his future. He heard Andrew Wommack for the 1st time in his life. Andrew taught on faith and unbelief. Pastor Jose prayed a simple and sincere prayer while sitting in his chair as Andrew continued teaching. A few moments later, while still sitting in his chair, all the pain was instantly gone. Praise God! His back was healed, and he never had the back surgery. The Transformation:
In 2011, The Lord showed Pastor Jose that his heart was calloused by pride, arrogance, and self-centeredness. During this encounter, God called him to use his life as an example to encourage, motivate, love, bless, and serve others. A few months later, Pastor Jose was at a point in his spiritual life where he felt that he was no longer growing. Until a friend downloaded Andrew Wommack’s teaching onto his iPod. As he listened, many questions he had regarding God and the Bible were answered and his hunger for a relationship with God grew even more. He signed up for Charis Bible College and graduated from the Dallas, TX campus in 2015. Pastor Jose continued on to complete the 3rd year Leadership Program at the main campus in Woodland Park, CO the following year. He served as Director of Charis Bible College Fort Worth and later Charis DFW.
