Tomorrow is Pentecost Sunday, the day we celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church.

The same Spirit that moved in the upper room still moves today.

He still saves.
He still heals.
He still delivers.
He still speaks.
He still fills His people with power.

What a wonderful day at FWCC yesterday, May 17. From Pastor Mike’s sermon about God showing His glory in 2 Chronicles 7 to one of the best potluck lunches we’ve had, it was a truly special day. The food was so good, and there was plenty for everyone.

A big thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who cooked, cleaned, and worked behind the scenes to make days like this happen. Special thanks to Barbara for helping organize the kitchen, and thank you as well to the volunteer who put up the new lighting in the fellowship hall.

FWCC is filled with such caring and generous people. So thankful to be part of this church family. ❤️

In case you missed today’s service (Palm Sunday, March 29, 2026), here’s a quick recap of Pastor Mike’s sermon:

We were reminded that the same Jesus who entered Jerusalem is the same Jesus who healed the sick, opened blind eyes, cast out demons, calmed the storm, and raised the dead. Many in that crowd had experienced His power—and they had a reason to praise.

He is the Son of God, the promised Savior, and the sacrifice for our sins.
Everything He was, He still is. Everything He did, He still does. He is still the King of Kings.
Jesus set His face toward Jerusalem knowing the cross was ahead—and He did it for us. He saw beyond that moment… He saw you and me.

Salvation doesn’t come by works, but through simple faith in Him—the Bread of Life, the Light of the World, the Good Shepherd, the Resurrection and the Life.
📖 “And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross. Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place… that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord.” (Philippians 2:8–11)

The same Jesus is still coming to anyone who will believe.

Here are some upcoming events in the life of our church as we move closer to Easter. We invite our church family and friends in the community to join us as we worship together and prepare our hearts for this special season.

🌸 Easter Lilies for Easter

Help us prepare our sanctuary for Easter morning.

White Easter lilies have long been used in churches as a symbol of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Their white petals remind us of Christ’s purity, and their trumpet-shaped blooms remind us of the joyful proclamation that Christ is risen. The lily grows from a bulb hidden in the ground and then blooms into new life, reminding us of Jesus rising from the tomb.

Our sanctuary has not yet been decorated, and we invite our church family to help fill it with lilies. They will decorate the sanctuary on Easter Sunday and be used during our Easter Sunrise Service.

Cost: $15 per lily
May be placed in memory or in honor of a loved one

Join us for a showing of the Christian film “Jesus Revolution.”

This inspiring movie tells the true story of a spiritual awakening in the late 1960s and early 1970s when many young people came to faith in Christ and churches across the country experienced revival.
