🚨 We may have to close some inflatables at Cardinal Fest. 🚨

The festival is on for Saturday 9/12 — but we are short 73 volunteer shifts, and we cannot safely run every inflatable and game without people to staff them.

Saturday 9/12, 3–5pm:
12 games
11 inflatables
6 food & beverage

Saturday 9/12, 5–7pm:
19 games
20 inflatables
5 food & beverage

Our youth ministry is having an information gathering this Sunday in the Hession Center from 10-11am. Come learn about what is being offered for middle school and high school students this year! Both new and currently involved families are encouraged to attend. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided! 🍩☕️

The experience of divorce can feel especially isolating. Leaders from area parishes with the support of the diocese have collaborated to offer a Surviving Divorce group. Surviving Divorce will help you work through the emotional upheaval of divorce, find personal healing and hope, and discover a deeper understanding of God’s love for you.

This Surviving Divorce group is rooted in the Catholic tradition, but anyone navigating divorce is welcome to participate.

This is a ministry that is here to help women and men who are currently facing or have previously suffered a miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss, by providing support through prayers and personally delivered comfort boxes.

The seminarian bake sale is this weekend after all the Masses. Remember to bring cash to buy bakes goods. Seminarians cannot hold jobs while in seminary, so this fund goes to assist with day to day needs like medicine, new shoes, gas, or emergency car repairs. Your generosity is very appreciated!

Middle school and high school youth ministry Kick-offs are Cardinal Fest weekend. There is also a meeting for youth ministry families on August 30th. Find the details here: www.stcharlesfortwayne.org/hs

Join us on Sunday, September 13 from 6-8pm at the Youth Center for food, games, and community! We will have jousting, a slide, and an obstacle course! This event is open to guys and girls in grades 9-12. A meal will be provided. Sign up at stcharlesfortwayne.org/kickoff!

There will also be a kickoff event for middle schoolers (7th-8th grade) earlier in the day from 3-5pm at the Youth Center. The sign-up link is the same for both events.

Some of our young people visited Sr. Genevieve at St. Francis of the Woods convent on the way to the Steubenville Joliet conference this weekend. Sister was delighted to see us and show us around. She is very busy caring for the needs of her sisters. In her free time, she enjoys keeping up some of the flower beds around their beautiful campus. This year, the congregation celebrates a special 150th anniversary of the order arriving in the United States. She misses the school children, but finds it very fulfilling to be with her congregation and care for her sisters.

Last week, author and St. Charles parishioner, Madeline Nugent, spoke about St. Francis. Pilgrims gathered to listen and pray in the St. Francis chapel at USF in participation of the jubilee year of St. Francis.
