A series of discussions took place, and the Society of Theravada Buddha Sasana (STBS) was established to support cultural and religious activities of Burmese Buddhists in Fort Wayne. STBS is a nonprofit organization. Anyone interested in Buddhism and Burmese culture can become a member. Membership is free; we encourage members to donate for organizational funding. Ordination, Novitiation, and Ear Piercing Ceremony
Wasa
Thadinkyut (lights festival)
Kathein (offering of robes)
Htamane Pwe (community feast Festival)
Occasional teaching of Buddha Dhamma by Sangha from various places

To operate exclusively for religious, educational, cultural, and charitable purposes
To operate with reality and truth through Dhamma (teaching of Buddha’s philosophy)
To deliver the Dhamma through cultural activities
To provide the Dhamma propagation through moral education
To promote humanitarian personalities and activities through Dhamma
To cultivate the noble seed in the soil of the human heart through Dhamma
To eliminate human negativity through Dhamma
To purify the human mind through Dhamma. To teach Burmese language to the Burmese children growing up in the United States
To celebrate Burmese and Buddhist cultural events throughout the year according to the Burmese tradition
To have regular meetings of the Society of Theravada Buddha Sasana
To practice Theravada Buddhist meditation
To establish a monastery for the Theravada Buddhist monks.
